The day before your appointment, a research assistant will call or email you to confirm the appointment time, provide you with directions to the lab, and answer any questions you may have. For your visit, you will park in the lot across the street from Lynch Memorial Hall and a researcher will meet you at the building entrance to escort you to our lab. In our waiting area, the researcher will go over our consent forms, explain the study and answer your questions. Your child can play with toys and become comfortable with the lab space before we begin. Next, the researcher will take you into one of our two testing rooms to begin the study. If you’ve brought siblings along for the visit they can play with a research assistant in our waiting room. After the study is complete, you and your infant can pick out a children’s book as a thank you for participating. The researcher will then tell you more about our studies, answer remaining questions, and help you back to your car.
